Enter The Dustmancer
This is my basic elementalist build. I would just like to get some pointers and a rating out of 10.Lvl 20 el/me(atm) done hells precipice.
Skill bar:
So basically Thats Stoning, Obsidian flame, Enverating charge, Blinding Flash, Ward agaisnt elements and melee, Elemental Atunnement and res sig. Ok, Say if a warriors givin my monk a hard time time i have several options, blind him, enerating charge then stone him(good combo) or ward melee over my monk. This method of protection can be used against a ranger as well. It can also protect anyone in my party thats gettin the crap beaten out of em. For against eles i have ward against elements and i can knock em down with the enervating charge+stoning combo. Obsidian flame is just for some extra KICK. I have found this build to be very effective in random arenas but havent tried it in HA.
Attributes are 15 earth Magic, 8 Energy Storage and 11 air magic
I use Millus' Pillar as a weapon

i like it, kinda simple though i like having very radical builds relying on certain conditions to do very heavy damage. but thats me. i would go E/mo for rebirth if ur doin PVE otherwise just stick with ur sig there.

I think it's a PvP build so the sig's important.

Relying on a condition is dangerous.

Good defence against warriors and sort of eles. However no self heals and no counter hex makes it a sitting target for necros and mesmers.

Lol i was kinda relying on a monk to remove hexes, but since it's random arena mayb i should put remove hex in(no problem in HA tho). And for the self heal thing, like i say in my prot monk "why heal dmg when you can stop it from happening" But yeah again thats really the monks job.

i like enervating charge with stoning. i used that a lot when i first started playing. a smart caster will side step the stoning but a warrior will stand there and get nailed. blinding flash and ward vs melee, along with the weakness, will keep the warriors off of you. but the exhaustion from ob's flame and the high cost of blinding flash, ward v elements and stoning will leave you in a bad spot eventually. your energy storage is only at 8 and you're counting on elemental attunement to keep the spell cost down. it's an easily stripped enchantment with a nasty 60 second cool down.
i wouldn't worry about self heals or hex removal. if you dont have a monk on your team in arena you'll have a hard go at it no matter what.

The sad thing is, some people are really stupid. in 4arenas people dont strip enchantments or sidestep stoning. Its a real nice thought that they would, but they dont (in random of course). But in team people are much more organised so mayb i should add elemental resistance or something. Or a weak enchant to stack on my ele attunement. (plus millus pillar gives me +15 energy)
Perhaps i should look at glyph of energy or ether prodigy.
thx for feedback
